BASIC FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this Position has overall responsibility for following the daily schedule for repairs and Preventive Maintenance. Assists Maintenance Supervisor with implementing repairs and PM’s in a timely manner with the goal of reducing downtime and increasing operating efficiencies.
MANAGEMENT SCOPE
This position has no direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
Repairs and performs preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Uses Knowledge of electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems to troubleshoot and repair items.
Logs all maintenance repairs.
Assists Maintenance Supervisor to keep an accurate inventory of equipment components.
Communicates all repairs completed to Maintenance Supervisor and Shift Supervisors.
Accomplishes all work in a safe manner while reducing downtime and decreasing waste.
Maintains quality of products and services.
Practices Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Foods.
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
PLC knowledge and troubleshooting for Allen Bradley are preferred.
Troubleshoot electrical circuits and distribution.
Self-motivated, as well as working with others on pressing matters and projects
Welding experience Stick, Mig, and Tig
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate
Degree in a Technical Trades/Maintenance related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires bending and standing for long periods of time. May require climbing or crawl under equipment or machinery.
EQUIPMENT USED
Hand tools/Power tools- drills, hammer drills, grinders (hand and bench), reciprocating saws, cut-off saw, pipe threaders (large and small), drill press, band saws (portable and stationary), plasma cutter, oxygen acetylene torches, welders, man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, rigging equipment (harness, lifting straps) hand trucks, and fork trucks
Automated equipment- palletizers, case packers, case formers, fillers, cappers, conveyors, sealers, coders (ink and laser), labelers, pumps, gearboxes, scales, vacuums, and wrappers.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Plant manufacturing environment. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. May work outside or in tank farm areas within small areas.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
This position has the overall responsibility of the proper operation of machine equipment while achieving company operations equipment effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
Ability to read work orders and order appropriate supplies based on lot number and location.
Communicates with forklift drivers to bring supplies to the line.
Verifies that supplies are correct (i.e., caps, bottles, cases, labels, etc.).
Verifies the desired rate is being run for each bottle size.
Stays abreast of current overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and actively participates in the effectiveness of the production line.
Ability to run and change over each unit of operation effectively:
Filler
Capper
Labeler
Case Packer
Bottle Supply
Palletizer
Rail Set-Up
Ability to use Operator Interface including choosing an appropriate subject for downtime.
Maintains accurate paperwork in a timely manner.
Performs and documents regular quality checks.
Keeps area safe and clean throughout the shift, clean as you go
Trains new employees when required
Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
All other duties are assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Written and verbal communication skills are essential.
One year of manufacturing experience, food-related a plus.
Good mechanical troubleshooting skills are a must.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to multitask.
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP’s in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May require bending or lifting.
Lifting up to 60lbs.
Hours: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
